Hello world!

I’ve been trying to decide to start a blog for a few years now. Finally staying home unemployed for over 8 months now was the final push I needed to take the plunge. So here I am doing my first entry and to be honest I’m not even sure that I know what I’m doing.

For starters, English is not my first language, but by now the idea of actually writing in Spanish, my mother language, is a somewhat strange possibility. Not because I don’t love Spanish and I am still completely fluent in it, but because after almost 20 years living in America it’s becoming more and more difficult to try to understand the world in another language other than English.

So the idea for me it’s mostly to have a place where I can express myself, share my views and, once in a while vent my frustrations too.

I’m not even sure that I’ll ever have an audience, probably not my main concern at the moment when I”m trying to figure out the technicalities of blogs and blogging. I don’t believe that I’ll have the time to post entries every day but I’ll try to create one everytime I have something to say that seems important to me.

In my next entry I’ll try to share something about myself, who I am, what I like and what I believe.
